Of course it doesn't. In fact in my opinion America is not a purely capitalist country anymore. America has been handing out bailouts like Sam's samples. My whole problem with it all is that America in and of itself needs a bailout. We need a revolution....and not the type of revolution the kids in the library plaza talk about. I think there needs to be a reformation of this our entire economy. I have very conservative opinions about the economy--and everything else too. People say that the government should have regulated corporations better, but when governments over regulate people complain about it. Honestly, I think some businesses should have just fallen. I believe this for two reasons. 1. If you fail because you used shady business practices that is on you. 2. I think the failure of major corporations would have allowed more minor ones to grow and develop.
Call me brutal, but I think in order for others to succeed those who are corrupt must fail, but that won't happen because the government continues to bailout these major corporations and because if these corporations fall we all fall. No one is exempt.
Honestly I think America is on the verge of this sort of socialist/capitalist hybrid. It will be interesting to see. I think it will be called sociapitist. People don't want regulations, but they want bailouts.
I don't think there is any correct choice for this solution for this problem. In fact like any economic, social, or political problem there is no right solution there is just a solution that keeps people from getting screwed over the least.

Shining Moon
Part of me feels bad for Marvin Sutton. Sutton was misunderstood and though his acts were illegal and quite harmful; it feels like he probably was a good person. Living in prison is no life at all. Prison is a torture, because you are placed into this smaller sect of society where you are being monitored constantly, where the bigger society has determined where you belong.
I am quite aware that what Sutton's actions were bad. There are tons of problems that can go wrong with moon shining. It could be done incorrectly, and cause alcohol poisoning. It is not clean. It is just plain wrong. So for that reason, yes Sutton should be charged and trialed, but this is a man who probably would never travel more than 100 miles from his home. House arrest seems like a much better punishment. Also I don't like how papers portrayed Sutton. As if being a hillbilly is a bad thing. Perhaps he wasn't a genius, he could have possibly been a good person under the moon shining.
I don't know. I don't think it says anything about America. In fact I think people should look more at the government and functioning of the major corporations of a country to determine the way the citizens are. Morally, America is one huge free for all. If you wanna make moonshine or do any other illegal action you can feel free to do it. You just suffer the consequences of it. Actually I think that man's crimes and the way he dealt with it speak highly of America. It shows hey even a "hillbilly" has enough pride to not serve his term. He rather succumb to death than be forced into a system that he didn't want to take part in.

A BLOG BLOB
SERIOUSLY!
Honestly, I just don't get it sometimes.
I am eighteen years old and there are many things I haven't done. Let me make a list:
I have not had sex
I have not drunken alcohol
I have not done drugs
I have not gotten involved in a gang (unless you consider chorus one)
I have not gotten pregnant
I have not kissed a boy
I have not snuck out of my house
I have not been on a date
I have not been asked out
I have not......
Well, you can see where this is going there are a ton of things I have not done, most of which I am proud to admit. I never wanted to be like every other teenager so I abstained from acting like one. I am the most mature eighteen year old you will ever meet. I have my moments of juvenile activities, but who doesn't. I earned a 4.0 in my first semester of college (to God be the glory for that). I have remained active in my commitments to God. I serve God and have an actual relationship with Him. I have a actual job--which I do a great job at. I go to school full time, run errands for my family, I work really really hard. So, I can't understand why when I want some recreational time my friends who are constantly being handed the short end of the stick of my time. I can't. I love my friends with all my heart and the time I get to see them is so extremely limited. So why can't we just hang out. So, it is late in the night, but we are only eight minutes away from the house. I'll possible understand when I get older, but now. Now, I am wasting time writing this blog as opposed to being with my friends at Chili's.
Now, my question is. Why? If, I am such a great kid shouldn't I be given leverage? I won't grow crazy with freedom and then abuse it. I cherish it too much. It just feels sometimes I am carrying the load of a college student in a high school book-bag. Most evenings, the parents of college students don't know what they are doing or where they are. And I would never want that for us, but most evenings I spend them by myself. Most of my friends have boyfriends or girlfriends. The ones that don't obsess about not having one--which is quite annoying. So the small teeny tiny minority that does neither that I still love I can't see.
This bothers me immensely.
FRESH AIR
They is this song I am listening to right now on Pandora called Cadence and I think it might just be the most beautiful song I have ever heard. I want it to be my wedding song. "The closer I come to you. The closer I am to finding God. You're a miracle to me." It is not so much that the singer thinks you are God. It is like saying they can see God's love in you. Beautiful.
SUPER POWERS
I have been considering lately that invulnerability seems like a pretty crappy super power. To think that I could never get hurt would suck. I could never open up to some one, because then I could possibly get hurt. That is a crappy super power.
MY FINAL THOUGHTS of the DAY a WEEK AGO
It is funny I think before God created Eve He said, "It is not good for man to be alone." I am beginning to think it is not good for woman to be alone either. Seriously though, I try and avoid being alone with my thoughts sometimes cause they lead me down these depressing roads that never end. Today I was alone with my thoughts and started contemplating how lonely I am. I just feel like I got no person. My best friends are still my best friends, but I am slowing stepping out of that position and letting their boyfriends fill it. Before I was pissed about it, but not anymore. Everyone is growing I guess. So if the person you date is the same person you will marry I can't be your best friend that person has to be. Technically it is my fault that I am alone, but I am not one to fight for attention. Either you give it to me or you don't I am not a preteen who feels the need to portray herself in a light that "attracts" "boys".
That brings me to my next thought. Which is actually a letter.
To My Dearest Husband,
At this point in time, I am not sure of who you are. I don't know what you look like or when we will meet, but I am praying for you. I pray that you are safe and not doing anything stupid and just becoming a better person and Christian. Though I don't know you I love you tremendously. In fact to say I love you would not be enough, but all I can give you are the words "I love you" and the sweet action of prayer. Know I am waiting for you. Wait for me also.
Love Your Songbird,
Tosin
Here are my random filler thoughts. I think I might shave all my hair. Why is this kid messaging me. I don't know you. You live in Boston. And you are three years younger than me. NO THANKS. I hate being fat. I love Samoas! I am so goofy. SMILE.
The last thought in my mind is of Anthony. It makes me furious to think of him especially since I don't matter to him. You know I think that is kind of a form of love though. To be aware that the person you prayer is not praying or thinking of you, but you continue in your prayer, because you know you might be the only one praying for him. These prayers are not so much based on fear, but faith great faith. So wherever you are Ant please be careful.

Sick
I honestly couldn't figure out an exact consequence on what this man has done. Honestly I would say that he should be killed for his crimes, but then again he mad his daughter suffer for twenty four years. So I kind of think that killing him is the easy way out, but then keeping someone in jail cost money--taxpayer money. So I am not sure.
What he did was heinous--no doubt about it. But you can't say the crimes of the Old World are worse than those of the New World. I mean look at this article. I could help when I first read this article. I was in high school when I read this article and I literally was sick to my stomach. I didn't include any pictures, but I saw some and I couldn't look for too long. She was forced to eat feces, they pulled out her hair, they raped her. They attacked her physically, mentally, emotionally, and in so many other ways. I could never imagine it. I makes me furious and sad. I want them all to suffer for what they did. A lot of people tell me that I am gunghoe for this because it was a black female, but this is just a matter of right and wrong. I try my hardest to advocate for what is right despite what one race or gender or age group is saying. It is just messed up. Everything is so messed up.
But back to the point, what Fritzl did to his own daughter. I sick and wrong, but you know what that is what pisses me off about the world sometimes. No one wants to tell anyone any more what is right and wrong. People have this screw religion attitude. Okay then fine, hypothetically let's throw religion out the window. How will we determine what is right and wrong? Perhaps by our feelings and emotions. Guess what crimes are committed by people's feelings. he felt he had the right to rape his daughter. The white family felt they had the right to rape and torture Michelle Williams. So what am I supposed to do! I mean there is no religion that anyone practices perfectly, but most religions at best will instill moral values in its followers.
You know all this only reminds me I cannot put my faith and trust in humanity.

Winnie the Pooh Winnie the Pooh Tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff.
As you have heard I am writing a paper on Winnie the Pooh. It is going to be pretty awesome, but I have found sources they all just happen to be in book form, and if I write a blog about them then there is no reason for me to write an essay.
So, I am going to write about how this essay is going to blow your MIND! Now I feel really privileged to write this research paper, because it is original and complex. I know you think I talk too much or I think I am better than everyone, but that is okay, but this essay will prove that I do have some talent. I am honestly not boasting, but I have been working so hard on this essay, because I want to do it justice. The last essay I wrote it was to make a good grade on it, but this one is different. It feels like I am write something to the public viewer. Now I know I should be aware of my audience which is just you, but I feel if I try too hard to impress you or even write this just as a college essay I will regret it. Please take that into consideration when you are grading my paper. Or don't. I know how you enjoy being all mavricky and defiant and "I don't care." I swear that is like your catch phrase or something, but whatever. I am just concerned that I am not doing it the way you want. That is one of my major concerns about this essay. Even though you are an extremely vague person, it seems like you kind of have this really strict guideline of do this or that. Perhaps, it is just me. Anyways, I would have thought you would be the type of teacher to emphasize on creativity and thinking outside the box in a positive way. I guess that is my fault though. I should judge people, beside you are just James the teacher.
I know this blog is a whole lot less than 500 words, but I think it will do.

Identity Issues Resolved
Since I was a child I have never really felt like a girl. Growing up in almost every class I was in there was a majority of boys and in the fourth grade I was the only girl in the class. I was never to the extent of thinking I was a boy, but I was a tomboy. I adopted "boylike" tendencies. Then middle school happened and I started growing boobs. Suddenly I was thrown into the whirlpool of identity issues. I acted like a boy and thought like a boy, but here my body was telling me, "Tosin, you are a girl." I was very confused at the time and still am sometimes, but I am going to tell of the time when I have felt like a total boy, a complete girl, and both at the same time.
Tosin the Boy
All through elementary school people called me Funke. Now the name is pronounced foon keh, but some people call me fun kay. Now if you wanted to totally annoy me you would pronounce my name as fun kee. So one morning this kid in my class named Caleb was going to be funny and so he went around the room calling me funky black monkey. Then everyone in the class started laughing at me. At the time the teacher was out of the room. So I chased him. He began running, because I was much bigger than he was--I have usually been bigger than most guys. Finally I get ahold of him by his hair and begin dragging him across the room. I stand him up when we get to the window and then smack his head against the window cill. Immediately blood rushes out of his nose. I feel like a boy at this moment because it was the first time i used physical strength to stand up for myself. I felt tough and on top of the world like no one could mess with me and no one ever did and no one has ever since.
Tosin the Girl
When I first entered high school I didn't know anyone. I was alone most of the time unless I was in class. The third week of freshman year I joined student council and made a couple of friends. As high school passed by I became one of the familiar faces that people knew at McEachern I was nothing big, but I was well known. Finally senior year rolls around and I get nominated for Homecoming Court. I was surprised and humbled and blessed. It was the first time I had ever been nominated for court and it was not a cheerleader or a girl on McEachearn Live or a stepper. I was just Tosin. I also was not a skinny girl either...still ain't. Nonetheless it was the night of the Homecoming game and there I was walking on the football field and I felt like such a total girl. I was waving like Princess Diana and blowing kisses to the senior stands like Jackie Kennedy. I felt like a girl. I was acting like myself, but a lady version. The one the gains respect for her posture and the way she carries herself. Then at the Homecoming Dance when the announced the Court and I was dancing with my friend ,Adam, I truly felt like a total princess.
Tosin In the Intersexed State
Today I cut off all my hair. I essentially have a masculine haircut, but here I am typing the blog feeling the most feminine I have ever felt in my life. I am understanding that yes, I am a 100% heterosexual female with an African American male haircut feeling like a woman. I feel liberated. I can't even explain it, but this haircut makes me so happy. When I was at the barber and finally saw my hair I smiled and cried, because I knew this haircut was meant for me. Finally I am sure that I am definitely a female with masculine tendencies, but that is okay.

I actually didn't find the article that interesting. It was actually quite annoying to read. I mean comprehension wise I kind of understood it, but I didn't actually see the point to all this babbling.
Here is what I got from the article: PEOPLE SUCK! Now I can agree with that statement. I also know by agreeing with that I offer myself no exemption from the statement. I think the author was just trying to address humanities rapid descent into moral obscurity. For me it kind of meant that people don't hold anything sacred anymore.
From religion, to law, to crimes, no one values or respects them. An example is rape. Now if anyone gets raped it is a tragedy, but none the less people throw around the word rape in comedy sketches like it is nothing. Then you know what happens, people laugh. Something that is considered one of the most heinous crimes only topped by murder is made into a joke.
No one respects religion, both on the members of a religion or the people who don't believe in anything. I mean lets look at people my age. Tons of college student when asked, are you a Christian will say, "Yeah, I was raised up in the church." but you check out their lifestyle from their actions to their words and it tells you different. You can say I am being self righteous and honestly I am not, because it says, "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." but seriously. If you fall you get back up and keep walking. You don't keep falling cause you like falling. It is easy to fall; not get up.
Then there are even laws. I am positive if the founding fathers came back today they would be upset with the state of America and the world. Because I am pretty sure that "we the people" have found ways to manipulate the law in our favor.
Anyways, if this response was not what you were looking for here is a facebook note I wrote July 17, 2008 it is called G's to Gents/Charm School. ENJOY!
So I have watched both shows in my title and I was sitting thinking today and I realized this is so sad. How come America has to bribe people into wanting to become a better person. Seriously this has gotten out of control and I blame myself and others.
People think it is some kind fascinating accomplishment to be a "G" or some kind of Alpha female, but it really is not. It made me feel ashamed that so many males and females fall into the trap that this is the life that they as supposed to live. I understand people have it hard in life and are constantly pressured into falling into the temptations of a corrupt and fallen world, but I know people who are making it so there is no excuse.
Also why are these ideas promoted. When has it ever been okay to call a female or male by some derogotive term? The sad thing I cannot just get onto the males without pointing out the many faults of a female. Recognize if you don't want to be know as a s*** or w**** or b**** or any other foul name, then don't give anyone good reason to call you one. Males, even if a female is acting like on that's where you have to come in and be the bigger man, and refuse to refer to her as one. Why can't we go back to the days when people weren't called names, but their name?
So it makes for good entertainment, but it really helps lead to the moral degradation of the world. When did desire to be rich and famous rather than smart and innovative. Everyone is looking for their fifteen minutes of fame, why not look for a lifetime of safety and security.
And so, our boys grow lacking emotion, because it makes a man. And our girls grow lackin emotional stability in accordance causing them to be naive and easily lead to their demise. I am so sick of this. Oh and when we find a female who derives from this misguides unstable path of average female, she is labeled as headstrong or aggresive or b****. And if it is a boy who decides to show some emotion he is called gay or pansy or wimp.
This is so messed up.
People are born male or female. It takes strength and character to be a man or woman.

Here I am laying on my bed on a heaven sent Sunday afternoon. The snow has been descending from the sky for almost two hours and though my mother has sent me to my room to clean it. I find myself doing nothing. My blinds are up and I am just staring at the snow in complete awe. Georgia weather is often seen as the butt of many meteorological jokes. It is unpredictable and more often than nought an inconvenience. When it should be perfect picnic weather it rains hard. When it is supposed to be freezing cold and you bundle for a blizzard; it is desert hot.
Anyways, I just look at the snow and am once again totally assured there is a God. I know no one could ever fathom beauty as surreal as nature. That when two currents collide the can either create something as destructive as a tornado or as serene as snow. That there is really no explanation to the purpose of snow, but to think that it possibly snowed because someone prayed for it or maybe God just wanted to see someone smile or maybe God knew if it snowed I might write this blog that is saying how totally freaking awesome He is. I dunno. I mean that is one of the many things that blows my finite mind to smithereens. That He is infinity. He encompasses everything good. It is crazy and illogical, but He operates above humanistic logic. Sometime when I think things like this I feel like I am on an really good acid trip.......I would not really know that though.....ha ha ha
